1-Dejected FC Platinum twins Kelvin and Elvis Moyo and Thabani Kamusoko talk to team coach Norman Mapeza after their loss to Dynamos at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday

The Zvishavane-based side has picked up 49 points chasing Chicken Inn, who have a four point cushion at the top with four matches to go.

The log leaders themselves travel to Gweru for a date with Division One-bound WhaWha at Ascot Stadium on the same day.

FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza has steered clear of any championship talk, as he tries to avoid putting pressure on his team.

But they will not be able to avoid that pressure going into the match against Harare City needing nothing short of three points.

Both Mapeza and Joey Antipas are championship winners at Monomotapa and Motor Action, respectively.

FC Platinum’s best opportunity to close the gap was last week when the two title rivals faced off, but the match ended in a stalemate. Dynamos still entertain faint hopes of stealing it from the top two with 47 points from 26 matches. After WhaWha, Chicken Inn is away to relegation-fighting Tsholotsho at White City Stadium before hosting Harare City at Luveve and finishing off the season with an away match to Flame Lily.

FC Platinum on the other hand have to deal with Harare City on Saturday before travelling to Lafarge for Flame Lily.

They face another tough prospect with Caps United visiting Mandava, before rounding off the season with Dongo Sawmill.

The Glamour Boys could pull a surprise in the last four matches, depending on how Chicken Inn and FC Platinum will fare and hand coach Tonderai Ndiraya his first silverware.

Dynamos take on Caps United on Sunday at Rufaro Stadium before travelling to Rusape to face Dongo Sawmill.

Their last two matches are against Chapungu (home) and away to Buffaloes in Mutare.

The derby with Caps could finally extinguish the small embers of hope for the championship if Dynamos fail to collect all three points.
