The thought of another barren season is haunting the former Cup Kings, but tomorrow Caps United will launch a bid to make sure they claim some silverware in the EascyCall Cup.

This time, Caps United are not leaving anything to chance, as they devoted more of their training time than usual to penalties.
They were knocked out of another cup competition through penalties and they do not want to suffer the same fate this time around.
Caps United assistant coach, Mark Mathe, said they had made players aware of the need to take penalties seriously ahead of their EasyCall quarterfinal match against Hwange at the National Sports Stadium tomorrow.
“We have made the players aware of the need to take penalties seriously. What is needed is tenacity and character,” he said.
The Caps United assistant coach, however, said much had changed since Lloyd Chitembwe was appointed coach.

Mathe described his boss as a very assertive coach, who has helped in transforming Caps United.
“So many things have changed since Chitembwe came. I am totally different to him. He is a very assertive coach besides his tactical astuteness. He insists on hard work and that has helped the players,” he said.
Caps United collected four points from the coal miners in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League this season, as they were first held to a goalless draw at home, before winning 1-0 away at the Colliery, courtesy of a Dominic Chungwa strike.
Very few teams have achieved that feat at the Colliery, which the coal miners have turned it into a fortress.
Chitembwe does not want to read much into that.
He described Hwange as very difficult opponents to break down.
“Hwange is a very good team coached by one of the national team coaches (Nation Dube). Caps United is an ambitious club. We will try and do well in every competition,” he said.
Defender Justice Jangano said they will fight for the Caps United brand.
“We will fight for the brand. We are out of the championship race, so we want to end the season with a silverware. We have a very good chance of progressing to the finals,” he said.
