Mazwieguta (47) appeared in court for assaulting his University of Zimbabwe girlfriend Catherine Zava (22) and her friend Tanyaradzwa Mukuruva accusing her of infidelity.

The court heard that on September 4, 2015 Mazwieguta visited Zava at her place of residence where they had an altercation resulting in him assaulting her.

Mukuruva had visited Zava when he witnessed the assault and rushed to call campus security guards after he was also punched in the face.

Mazwieguta reportedly suspected that his girlfriend was going out with Mukuruva.

He will now perform community service at Marimba Police Station for nine weeks.
