Club 32 Southerton Club 32 in Southerton presents DJ Bento of BodySlam, DJ Mbale, Dj Ribbz and Dj Ribbz on the decks for what they call “Don’t Blame it on Alcohol Fridays” show.

Harare International Conference Centre The Harare International Conference Centre main auditorium tonight hosts the belated commemorations to mark World Tourism Day. The concert is free. World Tourism Day is commemorated annually on September 27 to foster awareness of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic value.

Meanwhile, music marketing and distribution company Jive Zimbabwe tonight hosts the inaugural Celebrate Local concert aimed at utilisation of local resources for sustainable growth and development of local artistes from different genres.

Mbira diva Hope Masike, comedian Clive Chigubu, Mokoomba, Willom and Gary Tight, Victor Kunonga, Tariro neGitare, Alexio Kawara and Edith WeUtonga will take turns to entertain revellers.

Big Apple Rising dancehall musician Mostaff will be joined by an array of chanters tonight in the capital as he launches his 11-track album titled Mhenyu Imhenyu which is already receiving fair airplay on local radio stations.

Among the artistes who will take turns to entertain revellers at the potentially explosive show are Kinnah, Dadza D, Lady Squanda, Guspy Warrior, Ras Caleb, Lipsy, Jerry B, Princo Spice, Jah Child, Empress Fina, T Makwikwi, Cello Culture and Jay Cee. Popular dancehall sound Judgment Yard and Templeman and Garry B are also expected to rock it on the decks.

Megga 2 The annual MUSICA Festival organised by the Embassy of Italy roars into life tomorrow with local female divas Cynthia Mare and Edith WeUtonga entertaining patrons at Megga 2 in Hatfield. The festival will be held until October 10 at various venues in the capital. According to the event organisers, this year’s edition will feature international musicians like Blume Jazz Band, Simone Crinelli Quartet, Marco Maggiore, Pietro Tonolo and Antonio Jasevoli Band and more than 100 local artistes among them Oliver Mtukudzi, Filbert Marova, Josh Meck, The Outfit, Fungai Nengare, Afrika Revenge, Evicted, Hope Masike, Dudu Manhenga and Patience Musa.

The festival will also feature the second edition of the MUSICA Battle of the School Bands to be held on Sunday at St John’s College’s Spring Fair. Festival venues include Megga 2, Pabloz Night Club, Maestro’s, Music Crossroads, Harare International School, Heritage School, Zimbabwe German Society and Pamberi Trust.

Zebra Bar Veteran sungura musician Alick Macheso and Orchestra Mberikwazvo on Sunday perform at Zebra Bar in Mbare supported by Pengaudzoke now under the leadership of Faheem Somanje.

Harare Gardens Chipaz Promotions on Sunday hosts a family show featuring an unusual combination of artistes from different genres. Jah Prayzah headlines the gig alongside sungura musician Peter Moyo, gospel sensation Mathias Mhere and dancehall chanters Killer T and the conquering family boss Soul Jah Love.

Alfred Beit School Apostolic Faith Mission Shiloh Word Miracle Centre Assembly tomorrow hosts Family Fun Day at Alfred Beit School in Mabelreign in the capital featuring an array of gospel musicians, among them Flame B, Mathias and Daniel Mhere, Shiloh Praise, Casey Sekiwa, Joseph Chiwara, Sebastian Magacha and Liberty Chiwara.

Club RTS Zvimba Promotions presents raunchy dancer Beverly Sibanda and her Sexy Angels tonight as she entertains revellers at Club RTS at Domboramwari shops in Epworth.

Marandure Bar Sungura musician Somandla Ndebele tonight entertains revellers at Marandure Bar in Mt Hampden. Tomorrow he performs at Madzibaba Spenlong’s birthday bash slated for Zororo Centre in Highfield before rounding off his weekend shows with a performance at Serengeto Night Club in Bindura.
