BULAWAYO rapper Thabbz, real name Thabani Ndlovu, launched his debut music video for the song Hey Wena in style over the weekend.

The young rapper’s pre-launch party on Saturday at Club Forty40 was a well-attended affair that saw over 15 performers and groups gracing the stage.
These included Hurricanes dance group, Tear Dream Boyz, Mterry, MaWizza, Frost and Young Target.
In the evening, Thabbz, who is under the record label Dolla Sign Music, took the launch to Bulawayo’s up-market club, Horizon.
The video was shown at exactly midnight and the following day, the video launch was taken to the streets of Lobengula high-density suburb where the artiste hails from.
Speaking on the sidelines of the launch, the rapper revealed that the idea of having such a launch was to accommodate both artistes and fans.

“We had to celebrate the video with performances at Club Forty40 from my friends and fellow artistes who have been supportive from the start,” he said.
“At Horizon there was no performance. It was just showing the video while relaxing after a busy afternoon and fans getting to interact with the artistes.”
Thabbz said he had to take the launch to the streets where it all began.
“The whole Hey Wena idea came from the streets and my neighbourhood has been supportive. That’s why we are taking the launch to Lobengula as well since that’s where we started doing our first shows,” Thabbz said.
Hey Wena features Cal_vin and the video was directed by Blaqs who also directed POY’s Sola Sola and House Rebel’s Godobori.
