The leaders’ advantage was trimmed in midweek after they succumbed to a surprise defeat to ZETDC and they now lead second-placed ZPC Munyati by nine points after the latter triumphed over Silo United midweek.

The Chinda Boys, who are 12 points behind the leaders, will be determined to capitalise on the early pacesetters’ glitch in form with a victory that will see them cut the gap to nine points.

Gweru United will hope to continue their rich vein of form with a victory away to Ivan Hoe to remain in sight of the title chasers.

Last season’s runners-up MSU will hope for a good finish after a false start and victory in Gwanda against Vumbachikwe might propel them to a top-four placing.

FC Platinum Under-19, who have had a commendable run this season, will be in action against Chrome Stars
