Considered one of the biggest jazz music exports from Africa, Mazuze is currently based in Norway and will, during the ongoing concert tour meant to market his new album Ubuntu, collaborate with the Zimbabwean mbira princess.

Mazuze expressed excitement over his Zimbabwean debut on social networks.

“The tour is awesome. After my night out in Johannesburg this Friday, I am truly breathing a great musical journey in Harare where Jazz meets Jazz live in concert and play alongside one of Zimbabwe’s finest musicians @Hope Masike,” he said on Twitter.

Masike told NewsDay that she envisioned a music blend never witnessed before.

“I’m really excited ahead of this working relationship. You know mbira music sounds good with just about any music. And each and every note I believe will have the power to cross the lines that divide music and reach any listener in its own way,” she said.

Delta Beverages are jointly organising the event in conjunction with Musica 2015.

Konshens the headline act in these celebrations will also be delivering his highly anticipated performance in the country.

The gig is meant to celebrate 120 years of Delta Beverages’ Castle Lager brand.
