The woman, Lucia Zinenda, pleaded not guilty before Mbare magistrate Reward Kwenda, who remanded her in custody to Friday next week for trial.

It is the State case that Zinenda, from September 6 to a date not mentioned, brought different men to her house in Mbare’s Joburg Lines, where she ordered her under-age maid and a friend to have sex with various men while she pocketed the money.

The State further alleges that on September 6 around 10pm, Zinenda brought a man to her house and ordered one of the girls to have sex with him.

She indicated that the man had bought a handbag for the minor. The girls, whose real ages were not mentioned, told the court that Zinena used to lock them inside the house for up to two hours with men.

The duo also said Zinenda told them that the current economic situation in the country was challenging, so the girls needed to make money for themselves.

Zinenda’s conduct came to came to light last week after she had ordered one of the girls to have sex with her boyfriend, who had a sexually transmitted infection.

This prompted the girl to flee and make a police report.

Tendayi Matsikenyere appeared for the State.
