The exciting programme, which was introduced recently, has brought a refreshing edge to DStv’s Zambezi Magic channel 160 and is aired every Saturday at 7pm.

On number two was Skubu by Tkae Chidz featuring Simba Tagz, followed by Tocky Vibes’ Aenda Nenyika, Kapital K’s Good Over, ZionTaks Medley’s Ladies Edition Here, Selmor Mtukudzi’s Zvidikidiki, Cindy Munyavi’s Kutsvaga Mari, Da Ruler’s Goodbye, Afrika’s Zvinhu and Nobuntu’s Narini.

Although the programme is curated by Zambezi Magic, the music videos are picked by the viewers.

“Zim Top 10 lets viewers pick which fresh tracks they’d like to see at the top of the charts via their social media votes.

Zim Top 10 also features classic Zimbabwean videos, exclusive brand new video debuts and some of the freshest videos from the Sadc region,” according to Multichoice Zimbabwe.

Viewers keen to vote can visit http://zambezimagic.dstv.com for information on how to vote for their favourite videos and musicians can also find out how to submit their music video.

The transcontinental programme started screening early this month following the overwhelming response from local artistes who submitted their music videos ahead of the launch of the programme.

Local artistes have been urged to send their works so they could penetrate Southern African markets.

Featured artistes are guaranteed their royalties if registered with the Southern African Music Rights Organisation (Samro) and RISA (Recording Industry of South Africa).
