#AMHVoices:Free stuff is much more expensive

Day in day out, at home, in the streets, in malls and almost everywhere we receive consignments ‘free of charge’. By the way, who on this earth doesn’t like free stuff. Free t-shirts, caps, bangles, key holders, big donations and other sorts of merchandise or emotions that I have not yet received.

In all these respects, have you, by the grace of whoever you believe in, ever asked why all those who give, just give you for the simple fact of wanting to fulfil their acts of charity? Again did you ask any of them why they they do not donate shoes, pairs of trousers. It is also not clear to the majority of the people why those givers break the golden rule of giving which states that, ‘let not what you do with your right hand be known by the left hand’? Have you? Obviously not!

The reasons why they do not give shoes is simply that not a significant number of people read with serious minds what is written on shoes. This is why they also do not give tools usually used at enclosed places. All this evolves around the aspect of brand visibility. Every operating company company seeks to occupy a certain percentile in the human brain. This is achieved by constantly displaying vivid images to wherever the human eye can reach. This explains the newspaper ads, Google ads and those billboards and flyers which are now all-over the physical and virtual places.

Anyway that is not the story of the day. On the aspect of free stuff, if a brand is put on the merchandise that you are freely given, you automatically become an unconscious free brand ambassador. Because men are attracted to the front part of the woman, most of the brands are thereby printed on the front part, where coincidentally the chest is located. For the ladies, I can refer to their cleavage. This is also indirect exploitation. Buses and vehicles alike are also donated, and in the process starts carrying around the brands for free to the extent that the giver recovers on his financial aspect at the same time, having to be taxed less as well demeaning his existing, would be evil deeds. Depending on how much social reputation you have got, the impact of exploitation varies. Unlike the conscious brand ambassadors, people who receive free merchandise are not paid for their work in the marketing of the respective brands with exception of just having a simple addition to one’s wardrobe.

Even in the family setup, or even in other forms of human interactions are still molested by evil intentions in giving. Who will you become if you rebuke the hand that feeds you? You will be toasted, roasted and fried by those who feeds you and if you are to deny them access to those privileges, you will be thrown away to pit latrines on the other end of the universe.

After saying all this, I have made it party clear, if not crystal clear, the fact that there’s much more joy in the giver than that which is found by those who receive. Free merchandise is therefore much more expensive at cost than that which one buys at his or her own disposal.
