The Castle Lager Summer Celebration will be held in conjunction with Musica 2015 which was organised by Delta Beverages and the Italian Embassy.

The dancehall star told the press that he was “prepared for the show and I am not here to compete with anyone, I am just here to entertain you guys.”

Last October Konshens cancelled his much-awaited Zimbabwean show due to Ebola fears.

Delta Beverages issued a statement then notifying disappointed revellers that Konshens had cancelled his trip to Zimbabwe after the Jamaican government barred all travel to Africa in the wake of the Ebola outbreak in parts of the continent.

At the gig, meant to celebrate 120 years of Delta Beverage’s Castle Lager brand, the Gal Dem A Talk singer will share the stage with South African award-winning band Beatenberg, Mozambican saxophonist and composer Ivan Mazuze, local dancehall chanter Winky D, Evicted and mbira queen Hope Masike.

The chanter took time to address his “beef” with Vegas a fellow reggae artist

He was candid: “I don’t like Vegas. He is a great artist but I just don’t like him.”

The star urged ZimDancehall artists to drop the culture of pulling each other down saying their mandate was to entertain the audience as hate was bound to disrupt one’s music career.
