In the song, Tuku encourages workers to contribute towards the creation of a safe working environment.

Stressing the point that every human endeavour is associated with risks, Tuku reminds workers that despite efforts by various stakeholders to set safety standards, workers should not be negligent.

The 3-minute, 55-second track produced by Tuku Music was sponsored by the National Social Security Authority.

Participants at the conference who had the opportunity to be the first to hear the song expressed optimism that the attitude of workers towards safety would be transformed through entertainment.

Head of the occupational safety and health department in the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions, Nathan Banda, said it was important to preach the gospel of safety in the workplace through music.

“This is a remarkable rebranding and strategic dissemination of occupational safety and health information through good music,” he said.
