IT seems to be a question of when rather than if Ngezi Platinum wins the Northern Region Division One title and their coach Clifton Kadurira is a man in a hurry as he looks to wrap up the championship as soon as possible.

Kadurira’s men moved 17 points clear at the top of the table last weekend after their 2-1 win over Herentals, meaning they require three more wins from their last eight matches to claim the title, whose reward is Premier Soccer League promotion.
They are expected to collect three points when they host second from bottom DC Academy tomorrow before playing Blue Swallows next week.
If they can get victories in those matches, they would be officially named champions if they win at home against Cargo Carriers, with five games to spare.
Asked by NewsDaySport if it was now a matter of formality completing an inevitable title win, Kadurira said: “We are almost there. We would rather get it done as soon as possible to give some of the players a rest. There are at least seven players in the team who have played almost every game and they are beginning to show signs of exhaustion so the sooner we wrap it up, the better.”
He added: “It would be nice to win it in front of our home supporters so that is what we are fighting to do.” Zifa Northern Region Division One fixtures
