The album features veteran sungura artiste Nicholas “Madzibaba” Zacharia and carries seven songs.

Zora music maestro Leonard “Karikoga” Zhakata will be the guest artiste and will perform alongside Somandla Ndebele and Tedious Matsito.

Pinjisi has made a name for himself in the sungura music circles with his popular hit, Vashamarari, from the album Dadiso in 2012. Pinjisi is backed by Orchestra Ndorochena.

“It has been a long time since we had released an album, but now we have done it. I am looking forward to the success of the album because there are deep thoughts and messages in the songs. We perfected the guitars and I am very confident in what we have done,” Pinjisi told NewsDay.

Pinjisi has previously released Umbiridzo (2010), Dadiso (2012) and Ngandure Yengoma (2013).

Born in 1983, Pinjisi joined Ngwenya Brothers led by Matsito in 2001, but left in 2006 after the group had recorded five albums. In 2006 he joined Gift Amuli and recorded the album By Ginya.

Pinjisi has performed around Zimbabwe and in Mozambique.
