In a statement yesterday, Zifa said the development was part of the association’s administration structural review programme.

Mugadza has been replaced by former Inline Academy coach Shadreck Mlauzi, whose immediate task will be to assemble a team to face Cameroon in a 2016 Rio Olympic final round qualifier early next month. He is expected to name his squad for the game by Monday.

Mebelo Njekwa, who was Mugadza’s assistant, goalkeepers’ coach Ndega Matsika and kit manager Fungai Nyamutukwa were all shown the exit door.

However, team manager Charity Munemo retained her post and so did first assistant coach Johanne Chikaola.

Former Highlanders coach Barry Daka was appointed technical adviser, while former Young Mighty Warriors coach Sithetheliwe “Kwinji 15” Sibanda will be the second assistant coach and former Mighty Warriors captain Onai Chingawo has bounced back as the new kit manager in the new technical team set-up.

Little-known Peter Masibero is the new goalkeepers’ coach.
