The Zinawa band front man told NewsDay last week that his discipline could be attributed to his “strong Christian family background” and the lessons learnt from his father.

“I was lucky that I worked with my father, running this band. Although I was young, I managed to pick a few things, which I believe are helping me in my behaviour,” he said.

The soft spoken musician said fellow musicians who took over their late fathers’ bands must not forget that their fathers were pacesetters so they should protect their legacies. “They need to know that our fathers were so good and that is why they are called legends even on this day, you might be talented but it takes character to remain on the top,” Mopo said. Potifa has released two albums – Runyararo and Ndega Zvangu – and now set to release the third one, Ngaikwane Changamire.
