“There will be high-level debates and topics seeking to return Zimbabwe as a regional and global development player. Topics to be discussed include economic prospects for Zimbabwe and reengagement with the international community, Africa rising, development aid, philanthropy and the curse of inequality, social innovation and investment. Panellists will be drawn from ambassadors, regional and international speakers, academia and moderated by young people and emerging experts,” said Takawira.

The platform will create a leeway for young people to get a rare opportunity of networking and rub shoulders with the ambassadors and glean information about overseas scholarship application among other opportunities Co-organiser Annah Matsika said the event will spread across four bays namely exhibition, game changers, inspiration, chill and networking bay that run parallel, to be addressed by officials from embassies, the European Union, World Bank, Food and Agriculture Organisation and United States Agency for International Development.

“We are seeking to ignite discourse around re-imagining the future for Zimbabwe. We are not asking young people to tell us what they want the future for Zimbabwe to be like. Instead we are asking young people and artists in general to paint the future for us under the theme Re-imagining the Future for Zimbabwe,” she said.
