Ngezi Platinum are unbeaten this season after 23 matches, opening a 15-point lead at the top of the table and look primed to be this season’s champions whose reward will be Premiership promotion.

The leaders have 55 points, followed by Black Rhinos and ZRP FC tied at 40, while Gunners are fourth with 39 points.

Dodo, while admiring what Ngezi have achieved so far this season, has vowed his side would be out to break the unbeaten run when the two sides meet at Baobab Stadium tomorrow in the pick-of-the-weekend’s Northern Region Division One weekend fixture list.

“Ngezi are a very good team and they have done well so far. They did their homework from their pre-season preparations and it’s paying off. But everything that has a beginning, has an end and we have prepared well to end that run,” Dodo said.

He will be without goalkeeper Edmore Sibanda and David Redhiyoni through suspension as he tries to achieve what other teams have failed to do.

Black Rhinos, who drew with Ngezi last week, are away to Blue Swallows, while ZRP FC are also away at Cargo Carriers, who have overachieved themselves so far.
