All set for Jaravaza live DVD launch

RISING gospel musician Pianos Jaravaza will this Friday launch his debut live DVD titled Emmanuel — Mwari Anesu. Several gospel musicians, among them Charles Charamba and wife Olivia, Mathias Mhere, Sebastian Magacha and Thembelani, are expected to grace the launch at Eastgate Ster Kinekor Theatre.

The DVD, produced by renowned producer Macdonald “MacDee” Chidavaenzi, carries 12 praise and worship songs that include Ngaarumbidzwe, Huyai Mufambeneni, Penyai Mwari, Handikusiyeyi Mwari, Jehovha/ God, Ndinobva Kwamuri, Ishe Taungana, Garai Neni, Hakuna Hama, Mweya Mutsvene, Dzikamayi and Emmanuel/Mwari Anesu.

“This is our first live recording that was done focusing on different aspects of Christianity and how people can enhance their relationship with God,” Jaravaza said.

The live DVD was recorded early this year at the Reps Theatre in Belgravia, Harare

Jaravaza, who is also a talented keyboard player, signalled his arrival in the music industry with the release of his first album, Dzokai Vanhu Vangu that was followed by Nyasha DzaMwari.

The musician has shared the stage with both renowned local and international artistes, among them South African gospel sensation Solly Mahlangu, and has a history of mesmerising audiences with his energetic performances.
