Third-placed Tongogara’s championship chase was also hindered this weekend after they were held to 0-0 draw at home by Ivan Hoe Mine, and they are now a distant nine points behind though they have played a game less than the leaders.

ZPC Munyati overcame Chrome Stars 2-1 away from home but they are still 11 points behind the early pacesetters.

Shabanie Mine, who were touted by many for an immediate premiership return, seem to be destined for another year in the second tier league following their 1-0 humbling by ZETDC, which leaves them 15 points behind Border Strikers.
