Chipaz said no official tickets had been sold as yet.

The show, dubbed the Heroes Sunsplash, which is being hosted by Chipaz Promotion and United Kingdom-based Digital is expected to be a banger with the wide fan base the Jamaican singer commands locally.

Chipaz told NewsDay yesterday that tickets would be on sale at the venue today before the show which starts at 4pm.

He said they had strategically delayed selling them for security reasons.

“Our advance tickets going for $5 will go on sell tomorrow (today) at 8am before the show and we urge all those who want to get them to come early before they run out,” he said.

“We have not sold any tickets so far and anyone who has a ticket, they have bought a fake one.”

He emphasised that there was a limited number for the $5 tickets and that those who failed to get them would have to part with $10 which is the official gate price.

Charly Black, whose real name is Desmond Mendize, landed in the country on Thursday night.

There is much expectation for local Zimdancehall crowd pullers Killer T, Soul Jah Love, Seh Calaz, Kinnah and Freeman among many others billed to perform after a dismal show when Luciano came to the country a few months ago.
