She penned most of the songs on the album, whose proceeds shall be channelled towards the church’s project through which they are seeking to relocate 60 orphans in Murehwa.

“As I release One True Lord and combine with other artistes on the occasion of my 60th birthday celebration, I ask you to help me and to be a part of making a difference in the lives of our children. We are all part of something far greater than ourselves,” said Bonnie.

Early this year Celebration church led by Pastor Tom Deuschle embarked on a fundraising campaign and went to climb Mount Kilimanjaro so as to raise funds for the orphans.

The album launch is complementary to the already ongoing fundraising to build cluster houses for the orphans.

The children’s home, Ivordale, caters for 38 children many of whom have mastered playing the violin and in 2012 flew to Italy and performed in 16 different locations.

The album carries 10 tracks among them Worthy My Lord, The Christ, You are Beautiful, I Worship You, Send Me, Speak to Me and the title track One True Lord, which was inspired by Bonnie’s quest to help the disadvantage in Zimbabwe.

To date, Bonnie has produced over 15 albums including Yahweh, Tambira, Change the World and Singing with the Angels.

She will share the stage with Celebrate Young, Pastor G, Tembalami, Janet Manyowa and Call To Worship gospel outfit.
