The woman has since been arrested and is assisting police with investigations. She is being charged with aggravated indecent assault.

National police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi said the teenage boy also contracted a sexually transmitted infection from the act.

“Police are investigating a case in which a 37-year-old woman enticed a 14-year-old boy into her bedroom and had unprotected sexual intercourse with him and without his consent in Kariba on August 17, 2015 around 2100hrs,” Nyathi said.

“The boy was at his parents’ place when this woman arrived and invited him to collect some crocodile meat from her house. The boy followed and the woman requested him to get inside and select an appropriate portion on his own. When the boy entered the house, the woman closed the door, removed her clothes and that of the boy and started playing a pornographic video on her television set,” Nyathi.

Nyathi said the suspect then grabbed the minor and had unprotected sex with him. After the act, the woman ordered the boy not to reveal the incident to anyone and chucked him out of her house.

“Police are urging parents to educate their children not to be lured by food items as they risk being sexually abused,” Nyathi said.
