The Harare giants make the trip to Ascot Stadium for a date against Chapungu who have turned the stadium into a fortress in the past two months.

The Green Machine have struggled to find the back of the net in recent matches and were even held to a goalless draw at home by basement side Dongo Sawmill.

Their home ground, the National Sports Stadium, has not been a good hunting ground for them either.

They have won just one match in their last five matches, a 1-0 win over Flame Lilly, a run that has not gone well with the supporters.

But Tsipa, a battle hardened striker, insists the goals will come and urged supporters not to give up, but come in numbers to support them.

“As players, we are paid for a win and not a draw. So we must win and I believe the goals will start coming. We need our supporters, they must not lose heart,” Tsipa said.

Tsipa given his marching orders

Team captain Moses Muchenje even suggested that the championship was not yet out of their reach.

“The championship is still within reach. We still have high chances of winning it. We are yearning for it. If you look at the teams at the top, they are blowing hot and cold. We don’t believe in all the theories that the team is cursed. We are just missing chances and we will correct that and the goals will start to come,” Muchenje said.

United are, however, concerned over the fitness of Dominic Mukandi, George Nyirenda and Valentine Musarurwa as they travel to Ascot.

Chapungu have not lost at Ascot in the past two months although they have been struggling on away matches.

And Caps United coach Mark Mathe believes it will be a very difficult tie.

“They have not lost at Ascot for the past two months and we expect a very tough encounter. But we are going there for the fight,” Mathe said.

The Green Machine are on seventh position on the league table with 30 points, 10 adrift of the log leaders Chicken Inn.
