This follows the lifting of the temporary transfer ban on his former club Caps United.

The fullback has been unable to feature for his club because of player movement restrictions imposed on Caps United because the club owed Harare businessman Nobert Chawira $55 000 he loaned to the club two years back .

This was after the High Court issued a provisional order barring them from executing any transfer of their players pending the determination of the dispute.

Zifa was also temporarily barred from issuing clearance certificates to foreign clubs, leaving Pfumbidzai’s transfer hanging in the balance.

But he revealed yesterday, he had since been cleared after the two parties reached an out-of-court settlement.

“I have finally been cleared and will be playing my first match at the weekend. I have not played because I had not received the clearance. I have been training with the team only and I am sharp and ready to play at the weekend,” said Pfumbidzai.

However, Hobro IK, also home to fellow Zimbabwean Quincy Antipas are struggling at the foot of the table with a paltry four points from six matches, 10 adrift of the log leaders.

They have won just one game in their last five matches of the campaign and the former Caps United leftback will be hoping to help his team secure victory against the log leaders who are yet to lose in the six matches they have played.

Pfumbidzai who had initially been included in the Young Warriors squad for the All-Africa Games to be held in Congo Brazaville next week could now be considered for the senior team that will face Guinea in Harare on September 6.

However, chances are now that he might not be available as he needs to settle.
