The budding cricketers had the opportunity to mix and mingle with Masakadza and Whatmore during the afternoon certificate presentation for the top performers.

Stragglers cricket week kicked off on Monday and ends tomorrow at Hartman House.

The junior cricket event is held once a year during the August school holidays and brings together budding cricketers for a week of cricket coaching.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony yesterday, Stanbic Bank’s head of marketing and corporate affairs Palmer Mugavha said: “The week is organised for all enthusiastic young cricketers between the ages of 9 and 12 years and such is its reputation that all these youngsters plan their school holidays to keep that cricket week free, said Mugavha.”

Every year, teams from cricket development areas are invited to fine tune their skills through expert coaching.
