More than 200 individuals received free braai packs which were going for a cheaper price on Saturday where Sulumani Chimbetu was the “braai master” of the day before he performed later on in the evening.

Moyo and his band did not disappoint, although it was “Longman” (Jah Prayzah’s nickname) and his 3rd Generation troops who stole the show, sending the crowd into frenzy with hits from his latest Jerusarema album coupled with others from yesteryear.

More than 6 000 tickets for the initial show were sold-out with fans filling almost every bit of space available at the venue, while on Saturday it was a family affair with a convincing crowd attending the fun day.

Zimdancehall musician, Tocky vibes’ latest songs and live band performances started on a mild note, but won the crowd’s hearts when he started singing tracks from his past collection. Seh Calaz who came after him did not disappoint with a stellar performance which kept the youthful crowd on its feet.

Speaking to NewsDay, Swine Company’s marketing manager Jackie Gwangwadza said they were impressed by the turn out and will continue with the fiesta every year.

“The Swine is literally a new brand, we did not think a lot more would come out because we were thinking it is not month-end and people might be thinking of other things but yesterday our tickets were sold out,” she said.

“It surpassed our expectation so now we are thinking of how to make this bigger and better next year because it will be annual.”
