Fondly regarded as the Senior Lecturer because of the mentorship role he played in many sungura artistes’ careers, Zakaria is revered as Macheso’s music teacher having worked together during Macheso’s years of infancy in music.

Talking to show organiser Kudzai Matongo, affectionately known as Dee Nosh in entertainment circles, he said preparations were in full force and at an advanced stage.

“All is in place and we are set to bring the best show to Kadoma this year, this is a must-attend show,” Dee Nosh said.

Madzibaba and Macheso, who is working on a new album, always put up a spirited performance especially when they share the stage.

The Odyssey Bar and Grill has hosted many high-profile gigs this year. Recently the joint was graced by superstar Oliver Mtukudzi and Sulumani Chimbetu who both put up splendid performances.
