Speaking at the company’s breakfast meeting in Harare, TM Pick n Pay managing director Dharmalingum Dass said this year’s promotion had 22 Qashqai vehicles from Clover Leaf Motors that would be won by customers countrywide.

“We have spent more than half a million on this year’s promotion,” he said.

“Our main focus this year is to get value for money and it took a lot of time for planning, three months.”

He said the promotion would run for eight weeks. Branch draws will start in the first week of October.

The promotion is aimed at increasing the average spend of customers and thus will increase sales share and share of the wallet.

The grand draw will be at TM Pick n Pay Msasa on October 10.

At the breakfast meeting, Dendairy received an improved supplier’s award from TM Pick n Pay while Brands Africa received the supplier of the year award.

Retailers have embarked on promotions to boost consumer spending which has been falling due to the harsh economic environment.
