Face the future with boldness

THE future is approaching or we’re approaching it faster than we suppose and perceive.

THE future is approaching or we’re approaching it faster than we suppose and perceive.

With or without preparation it’s still coming and with or without the right frame of mind, the future still shows up. By definition, future is time yet to come. Since future lies on time spectrum, it cannot be blocked. We can’t bind it or cast it away. A reconnaissance mission cannot deflate it. The good news is that since we know of its coming, we can adequately prepare for it.

We are equipped with intelligence information of its approaching. Let’s face it with boldness casting away trepidation. We can cage its minacious advancement by positively readying for its imminent showing up.

Being in Christ Jesus, the future is secured with assurance of everlasting life of peace in eternity and hope in the current life. There’re encouraging biblical promises of victory. Opposition may come but you will prevail in accordance with divine will.

After the passing on of Moses, the Lord spoke to his successor Joshua assuring him that the future is guaranteed with His immanence in Joshua’s life. God said to Joshua in Joshua 1:9, “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

This is the same voice of God crying to you enlisting your positive identification with it. Our confidence is His voice to go out and the promise of His accompanying presence.

Victor Hugo says, “The future has many names. For the weak, it’s unattainable. For the fearful, it’s unknown. For the bold, it’s ideal.” Let the winds of negativity drift away from you. If the Lord tarries, tomorrow will come to all of us. How it comes is determined by our individual attitude. We’re today what we invested yesterday. Today we can put in strength and things become attainable.

Putting away fear clears doubt and the blocking mist thus creating clarity and direction. Speaking to his fellow countrymen Harry S Truman said,“America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination, and unbeatable determination to do the job at hand.” May this be your speech to yourself today in your own country.

Go out in victory and launch out with positivity. Albert Einstein noted that, “A ship is always safe at the shore but that is NOT what it is built for.” Your Creator, God Almighty didn’t design you to be motionless, stagnantly suffering. Don’t be stuck in the corner trembling in fear of evil prospects carried on the wings of future. Be so eager to have the future come.

You would rather think it’s delaying because of your preparedness and hope. Don’t dread it’s coming. Free yourself from bondage and enjoy the unfolding future. Wisdom lures us to take great interest in the future because we will spend the rest of our life there. The future lies ahead as an empty space awaiting your filling it up. Don’t stumble into it, create it.

Sometimes we have faced and endured untold suffering in the past and thus tremble the coming future and this is made worse by the current quagmire. However Scripture promises newness of life in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:17 assures, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Whatever your past has been your future is spotless. Corrie Ten Boom encourages, “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” God has walked all the way beyond the end and cleared the road for your travel.

In sending us out Jesus says in Matthew 28:20b, “and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Here’s an open invitation to a place cleared for human enjoyment by her/his Maker. It’s an offer you and me should take up without hesitation. Go out in confidence. God knows best; he hasn’t arranged your anatomy so as to make it easy for you to pat yourself on the back. Be determined to go on the road to fulfill your destiny. “Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so,” writes Charles De Gaulle. The thorns have been tamed, mountains leveled, valleys filled up and crooked roads straightened. Pits dug by the devil have been filled up with the blood of Jesus and snares broken.

Face the future with boldness; turn not your eyes away. You are going somewhere.
