Mtukudzi gave a pulsating performance as he moved to promote his album as well as trying to make a name for himself in the music industry.
The 29-year-old musician told NewsDay that the album launch was of great importance to his music career.
“Musicians are facing a tough time due to the financial crisis and I am also affected.
“But the zeal to pursue my musical dream surpassed all that and I have used the money I had to introduce myself to the people,” he said.
“The music industry is tough and I guess the launch will serve the purpose of marketing the album. Moreover being one of the few artistes if any, to launch an album in Marondera means that I have hope in my home fans.”
The album, recorded at Diamond Studios, is a fusion of gospel and Afro-jazz tracks. Some of the tracks sampled during the launch include Jazz Peace, Chii Chinonzi Rudo?, Mombe Yemurombo and Kure Kwegava.
