The body will lie in state at Nyaradzo Funeral Parlour before it is dispatched to his house at Number 3416 in Tynwald North for an all-night vigil.

“We have moved the date to ensure that his friends and colleagues attend his burial because we are fully aware that he was a very popular person in both journalistic and film circles,” the source said.

Burial had initially been scheduled for tomorrow. Munyavi’s wife, Agnes, will not be able to come for the burial after complications with her visa.

“Nyaradzo Funeral Parlour will then take Munyavi’s body to Matsika Village in Rusape on Friday evening with burial taking place on Saturday.”

Munyavi is survived by his wife and four children.
