The coalminers are 11th on the log with 16 points, while How Mine are third with 29 points, just a point away from leaders Chicken Inn.

Hwange coach Nation Dube said even though they were playing well on the ground, the statistics did not show that they had been performing well.

“We are not satisfied with our position on the log,” Dube said.

“It does not show that the team has been playing well and even though people say that we have been doing well, our position on the log does not show that we have been playing well.

“The game against How Mine will be very tough. They might come with the idea of collecting just one point from the match, but we will be out to get maximum points. We have to start collecting maximum points for us to improve on our position on the log,” Dube said.

Hwange have the most draws in the league with 10 and their last encounter against Dynamos yielded a goalless draw at Rufaro Stadium.

Dube said he would be without Munyaradzi Mungadze who is injured, goalkeeper London Zulu who has a hip injury and Phakamani Dube who is still out nursing injuries sustained in a car accident.

Newman Sianchali, who was also injured in the accident, is recovering and started training on Thursday.

Isaac Masame will also not feature in the match following his indefinite suspension by the club for indiscipline after he remained in Harare and did not inform the technical department about his whereabouts.

How Mine assistant coach Johannes Nhumwa said his side was where they were supposed to be, but they need to continue working hard as a team.

“We are where we are supposed to be. We need to push hard so that come the end of the season, we are in the top five,” he said.

Nhumwa has been in charge in the absence of head coach Luke Masomere who was in Harare for a Fifa physical training course.

“We are thinking ahead. These are the return matches and they will not be the same as the previous matches. The other teams would want to better their game and we will be doing the same. We have to prepare,” he said.
