Chrispen Munhukwa’s wife Eunice Dzingo told Harare magistrate Audrey Tarugarira that her husband had dumped her at their matrimonial home in Epworth accusing her of physically and verbally abusing him. The couple has six children.

Munhukwa pleaded with the court to assist him evict his former wife from their matrimonial home as he accused her of disturbing his peace.

“She is even taking all the money that we get from our tenants leaving me with nothing, so I want her to go,” he said.

Dzingo dismissed Munhukwa’s claims saying her former husband was lying since they were not even staying together.

“When I gave birth to the child with disabilities that is when he dumped me and I am well aware that he now stays with another woman,” she said.

Dzingo said she was not opposed to the protection order claiming she had never abused him in any way as they were not even living under the same roof.

The magistrate granted Munhukwa the protection order barring Dzingo from harassing and abusing her former husband, but allowed her access to the family’s matrimonial home.

Tarugarira advised Munhukwa not to evict Dzingo from the house advising him to follow proper channels in the event that he no longer wanted to have her set her foot on the property.
