Chipo Ngaro had taken her lover’s wife, Memory Mushangwa, to court, accusing her of destroying her property and threatening to douse her with petrol.
In her application, Ngaro told the court that she wanted Mushangwa barred from interfering with her affair with James Mucheuki, whom she claimed was a father to her child.
When Mucheuki took to the witness stand, he stunned the court when he said he wanted to marry Ngaro since he was in love with both women.
Mucheuki’s claim prompted the court to advise him to state his clear position to Mushangwa in order to avoid future conflicts over him.
“She is my husband’s first wife, but I live at my parents’ stand with a child I have with him. She comes to my house destroying property, breaking windows and she has even threatened to drench me with petrol and burn me alive,” Ngaro said.
In her response, Mushangwa dismissed Ngaro’s assertion of being her husband’s second wife, adding she had not been introduced to her officially.

She said Ngaro was just her husband’s girlfriend and she had caught him cheating.
“She is just a prostitute who has so far fingered three different men, including my husband, of fathering her child. When I caught him with her, he admitted to just having ‘a fling’ with her and he gave me $20 to calm down,” Mushangwa said.
However, Mucheuki left the court in stitches when he confirmed his affair with Ngaro.
“When I started dating her she had a man, but now, she has me alone. So they are both my women and I love them,” he said. “I actually want to take her as my second wife.”
