President Mugabe on Monday reshuffled his Cabinet, moving Jonathan Moyo to the Higher and Tertiary Education ministry after weeks of speculation about his future.

President Mugabe on Monday reshuffled his Cabinet, moving Jonathan Moyo to the Higher and Tertiary Education ministry after weeks of speculation about his future.

Moyo was told to leave a Cabinet meeting two weeks ago, fueling speculation he would lose the Information ministry.

Savior Kasukuwere was moved to the Local Government ministry, while Oppah Muchinguri replaces him at the Water and Climate ministry.

Kasukuwere’s predecessor at the Local Government ministry, Ignatius Chombo has been re-assigned to the ministry of Home Affairs.

Nyasha Chikwinya has been appointed to fill in at the vacant ministry of Women’s Affairs.

Kembo Mohadi has been moved from the Home Affairs ministry to the State Security portfolio.

Prisca Mupfumira will act as the Information minister.
