Technosphere beat Mpumalanga 3-1 at the weekend.

In other matches, Makomo beat Trumus 1-0 in Hwange while Indlovu Iyanyathela overcame Nust and Ntabazinduna Prison also Old Nic Mine also by the same 1-0 scorelines.

In the Eastern Region, only two points separate log leaders Prime Rangers from sixth-placed side Mutoko Traders after 11 weeks of action.

It was a tough weekend again for the league’s leading pack as pacesetters Rangers suffered a 2-1 defeat to Gutu at Paradise Stadium on Sunday.

The previous week Rangers dropped two points after they were held to a goalless draw by Gaza Gunners in Chipinge.

They are, however, still enjoying a cool breeze at the summit of log standings with 22 points from 11 matches. Mutare City Rovers fluffed the chance to topple Rangers at the apex after they drew 1-1 with Tenax at Sakubva Stadium on Sunday.

Former Premiership side Masvingo United registered an important 1-0 away win against Black Eagles and they eventually moved to second position with 21 points from 11 matches.

Masvingo United are enjoying a superior goal difference to third-placed Hartley Academy who also have 21 points, fourth-placed Rovers and fifth-placed Masvingo City, who also have 21 points.

Hartley Academy demolished the league’s newcomers Melfort 3-1 in their own backyard in Marondera 3-1 on Sunday while Masvingo City defeated Ruwa Gunners 1-0 at Mucheke Stadium on Sunday to stay in contention for the sole promotion ticket to the PSL.

Newcomers Mutoko Traders proved that they are no pushovers after they walloped Gaza Gunners 3-0 at Chikondoma Stadium on Sunday and they are in sixth position just two points behind log leaders Rangers.
