Although Multichoice Zimbabwe public relations manager Liz Dziva was not reachable yesterday, NewsDay established that Africa Magic and Endemol – who are responsible for organising the controversial show – failed to secure sponsorship for the 2015 edition.

Several Multichoice country offices in Africa have received a notice from MNET saying the show was off this year.

BBA has a huge following in Zimbabwe and the country has had several representatives in the show over the past few years. These included Power FM presenter Butterphly Funk, Munyaradzi Chidzonga, urban groover Rockford “Roki” Josphat, Hakeem Mandaza and Maneta Mazanhi.
