A welcome back reception for the group was hosted last Thursday evening at Indaba Book Café but only one group member Zanele Manhenga attended the event.

Manhenga said she was elated by the reception she got.

“I had been missing my friends, especially when I was in Austria with the colleagues of Nobuntu.

Nobuntu is back in town. I am happy that my friends gave me a warm welcome and I appreciate all the good things they have done for me,” she said.

Known for their sharp piercing voices, the group performed in close to 10 venues in Austria.

The well-travelled outfit has been to Germany and Austria, among other countries, while their performances have always left an indelible mark in audiences resulting in them touring the same countries almost on a yearly basis due to popular demand.

The all-female group comprises Heather Dube, Thandeka Moyo, Zanele Manhenga, Duduzile Sibanda and Joyline Sibanda. However, the group has staged a few shows in the country.
