The talented choreographer and vocalist said the album, which is his fifth, will define the new seal of manhood he has reached following the birth of his son.

“The new offering will be a toast to fatherhood and I want to reflect on it in future as a production that marked a turn for good fortunes in my career. All along I have been recording as a single boy, but things have taken a new twist because I am now recording as a father,” Tryson said with a chuckle.

Tryson, who has taken to guitar playing, said the new album will showcase the rich vein he has struck in his career as a musician.

“This is my fifth album from a discography that includes Bvamuroad, Marxist Revival and Compass and all dendera music lovers should brace for a more mature Tryson Chimbetu. This will be my signature production and I am really giving it my best shot,” he said.

Tryson has of late been sampling some of the songs from the new album during his live performances and has received encouraging responses.

On the title to the new album, Tryson said he will leave everything to inspiration.

“At one time I had come up with the title El-Classico, but I think I will leave it to my imagination and the inspiration that will come after the final recording. This is a new baby and I just can’t wait to have the world celebrate its birth with me,” he said.

Tryson said he is going it alone with his trusted team of instrumentalists and indicated that he will also play the guitar on some of the songs.

“The album will feature songs like Chihera Vhura Door, Ndarota (a tribute to the late Simon and Naison Chimbetu), Isa Moto, Basa, Africa, Mahobo and Joyce. I will actually play the guitar on some of the songs and fans should look out for new, par excellence original Dendera with remixes from the late Naison,” he said.

The rising Dendera star, who could not be drawn into revealing the actual date of the album’s release, said this will be determined by the progress at Diamond Studios.
