Towards global influence

There seems to be a rush to touch and change the world. The upsurge has been so heightened that no one wants to be left out. Globalisation has meant that everyone can contribute to the affairs of the world.

There seems to be a rush to touch and change the world. The upsurge has been so heightened that no one wants to be left out. Globalisation has meant that everyone can contribute to the affairs of the world.

Through websites, blogs and social media, all spheres of human endeavour are itching to reach the ends of the earth and the planets as well. The range spans from the academia, religion, Christianity, technology, politics, media, entertainment, etc. Individuals and organisations are convinced they have what it takes to alter or influence the flow or the direction the world should go. With the world being a global village anyone can showcase their talents and gifts more easily because of robust and efficient transport and communication. With the aid of advanced technology, your input to world affairs has the potential to infiltrate society more speedily.

There’s both good and bad influence aimed at this one world we live in. Access to influence the world can either be godly propelled or satanically/demonically instigated. Satan as the prince of this world is raising up women and men to dictate the pace and direction of the world. It’s very key for the church to be engaged in massive evangelism in order to further the interests of the Kingdom of God and thereby curb the infiltration of evil influence in the world. If you intend to release godly products and services to the world, follow proper moral and ethical channels. In solitude, allow the process of God to prepare you. Don’t rush to international recognition and praise. Satan makes use of divinely gifted and talented people who are in a hurry to get to international stardom. Patience is key to process God’s calling and anointing upon one’s life. There are preachers, musicians and artists who started well with a genuine call from God for the the advancement of His Kingdom, but were offered lucrative deals by Satan and forsook the truth. The devil has the marketing tools including free to air satellite transmission to advance his agenda.

Process and formulae aren’t easily accepted these days, but the truth is that we can’t be so sophisticated to escape principles otherwise life will be mayhem and jungle. We trust in God’s grace and matchless power to bar toxic products and services from entering our domain. The devil offered Jesus a fast-tracked way to glory which Jesus rejected. Luke 4:5-8 records the story, “[5] And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. [6] And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. [7] If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. [8] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Resist temptation, and allow divine process to promote you to the top. Accepting demonic manipulation will deprive you of your heritage and eternal life.

Every notable biblical hero went through a stage of preparation. Abraham, Moses, Joseph and Elijah are examples of heroes who experienced the silent years of patience and discipline. Jesus, the only begotten Son of the living God spent years in preparation. The unknown years of Jesus (also called His silent years, lost years, or missing years) generally refer to the period between Jesus’s childhood and the beginning of His ministry, a period not described in the New Testament. Following the accounts of Jesus’ young life, there is a gap of about 18 years in His story in the New Testament. There are many schools of thought as to what was going on in Jesus’ life, but Christian tradition generally believes Jesus used the time to develop and grow as supported by Luke 2:52 which reads, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” You need to exercise patience as you go up the ladder to markets thousands of miles away.

Mindsets have shifted and products and services are prepared to suit international best practices. Ideas and solutions are now mooted with global influence in mind. No one wants to remain a family, clan or community hero. People are aiming to touch the world or at the least, continent, region and country. While it’s progressive philosophy to influence the world, there are steps which start at individual and personal level to be of significant influence to the world. To change the world you have to change yourself first. Private personal discipline precedes worldwide impact. A burning desire to change the world without a burning desire to change self is putting the cart before the horse. Some of the theories and philosophies that have been globally adopted and accepted have been in the lab for decades. Be patient and follow the steps. You are going somewhere.
