AWARD-WINNING UK-based Zimbabwean hip hop sensation Rhyme Assassin has released another single track titled Tsiva, inspired by socio-economic challenges faced by rap musicians in their careers.

“I was inspired to write this song after a rap battle which I was challenged to when we were having fun with my friends,” said the Chivhu-born Rhyme Assassin.
“I realised that peer pressure does not end at teenage stages but silently goes beyond. Two guys approached me thinking I am not that good in music. The way we debated, if I was not strong I could have given up on my musical career. They challenged me to a musical tussle and I came out on top. I then took that incident and made the idea into a great song inspiring fellow rap musicians to soldier on despite challenges in their careers.”
Rhyme Assassin is riding a wave as his single is selling like hot cakes across the globe.
“I am impressed by the way this single was received by my followers worldwide. The release has made a great impact as many fans loved the story line, punch lines and humour in it. This song is certainly making an impact and I am already working on a remix,”he added.
Rhyme Assassin’s previous singles collection include City is Mine, Ishe Tenzi, Tyoka, Handikusiye featuring Astral Vee, Black Hope and Amai featuring Trevor Dongo.
In 2013, Rhyme Assassin launched his much-awaited 26-track album titled Grand Synopsis which featured musicians like P.O.Y, T9yce, Promethues Karizma, Vanessa and Crimzone Blu among others.

Born Tichaona Monera in 1981, and going by the stage name Rhyme Assassin, he spent the early years of his life in Highfield.
He started writing songs and performing in high school gigs. Between 1999 and 2001 he made some significant progress on the music scene featuring on various contests with one notable performance at the Miss Waterfalls.
Shortly afterwards he left for the United Kingdom where he re-launched his music career.
