Mozambique’s Independence Day is on June 25.

Also featuring in the competition, which starts tomorrow and ends on Sunday, are South Africa and Kenya.

Basketball Union of Zimbabwe president (technical) Sikhumbuzo Moyo, who is the head of delegation (HOD), yesterday said the 10-member team would leave for Mozambique by road via South Africa.

“The team has been in camp in Bulawayo,” Moyo said.

“It has visited a number of schools in the city doing community work. We leave for Mozambique by road via South Africa tomorrow morning for the invitational tournament.”

The team is coached by former national basketball and rugby player Emmanuel Mukandi as caretaker coach.
