Chitengwa Jnr will be posthumously recognised with the Lifetime Golf Achievement Award together with John Nixon and Harry Oosthuizen.

The local recognition comes after Chitengwa Jnr was recently inducted into the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Southern African Golf Hall of Fame in South Africa.

His father Lewis Muridzo, the veteran Wingate Golf Club-based coach, was also presented with the same award last year in recognition of his contribution to local golf.

Top junior golfer Kieran Vincent, who helped the national junior golf team to a commendable 12th place finish at the recent Toyota Junior Golf World Cup in Japan, was also nominated for the Junior Golfer of the Year and the Most Improved Golfer of the Year awards.
