Bulawayo Athletics Board chairperson Manuel Mpofu said registration was already underway with a number of top athletes having confirmed participation.

Registration is being done at the Old Mutual offices and at Nkulumane Mall where the race will start and finish.

Some of the athletes who are expected to take part are Jacob Mugomeri, Elijah Mabhunu, Nkosiyazi Sibanda, Constance Nyasango, Rutendo Nyahora, Isaac Mpofu, Ngonidzashe Ncube, Margaret Mahohoma, Trust Madora and veteran middle-distance athlete Samukeliso Moyo.

Old Mutual Life Assurance Company regional manager Margaret Vera said the race catered for everyone.
