FC PLATINUM protégé Cleopas Kapupurika, who is on loan at Premier Soccer League club, WhaWha, is on a trial stint with South Africa-based Diambars Academy.

Diambars is fronted by former France and Arsenal midfield kingpin Patrick Vieira and the academy is used as a doorstep to professional European football leagues.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder, who is a product of the miners’ junior policy, has evolved admirably since joining the Gweru-based side and his exploits have not gone unnoticed.
His assessment with the Boksburg-based academy started on the June 10 and is expected to end on the 18th of this month. WhaWha chairperson Musa Ntonga confirmed the trial stint of the teenage midfielder.
“I can confirm that he is on trials with the South African academy and we will receive feedback on his assessment at the end of the trials,” Ntonga said.
“He is not our player, he is an FC Platinum player. We, however, helped a lot in his development and marketing.
“The coaches have spoken highly of his capabilities that he can make the grade there.”

If Kapupurika makes the grade, he is sure to join European leagues as the academy sends their graduates to professional leagues in Europe.
