During her six-week fellowship in the United States of America, Vimbiso will be attached to the University of Texas in Austin where her immediate goals are “to network with other like minded young Africans with whom I can share strategies and map a united Africa’s future with.” She says she is also looking forward to making useful contacts with different people in different industries to exchange ideas and expertise with.

Vimbiso currently runs Glendale Health Centre, which is a “rural clinic focused on combating high levels of mother to child transmission of HIV and other HIV related issues in rural communities.” In 2013 she successfully pioneered the introduction of cervical cancer screening in the clinic simultaneously offering monthly mobile clinics to the community.

Vimbiso is the co founder of an organization called Love Zimbabwe for Good which initially fed children on the street and has now evolved to support Zimbabwean education through text book support and infrastructure development. The organization is currently in the process of constructing an infant classroom block at Bromley Primary School and an early childhood development centre in Namburo Village.

Also an avid reader and writer, Vimbiso lends those skills to the young Zimbabwean leader’s forum called Young Zimbabwe where she writes articles that address a variety of social issues affecting young people.

Upon her return from the fellowship Vimbiso plans to diversify her business portfolio and embark on new innovative ideas that will diversify her current portfolio.

Vimbiso says her entrepreneurial journey was inspired by her mother who left formal employment to start her own business. Vimbiso holds a Bachelors Degree in Commerce attained at the University of Curtin in Australia.
