ZIMBABWE Under-23 soccer team coach Kalisto Pasuwa is happy with the preparations this time around as his charges face Swaziland in a sink-or-swim African Championships second leg qualifier in Mbabane on Sunday.

The two teams drew 0-0 at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday in the first leg.

Pasuwa, who had very little time in his preparation for the first leg, characterised by the withdrawal of players, said the objective was to go to Swaziland and come back with a positive result to advance to the final qualifying round against South Africa.

He said if Swaziland could come here and get a draw they could also go there and get the result they wanted to proceed to the next round.

“Swaziland came here, they wanted a draw and they got it. We can also go there and get a good result that can see us qualify to the next round. We need to ensure we get the goals. We expect that they won’t be defending at home, they will try to come at us and we have to approach them with caution,” Pasuwa said.

“I am happy with the preparations so far. I think I have players I want in camp. I am just expecting Ronald Pfumbidzai from trials in Denmark. He should be coming in tonight (last night). In the first leg, we had problems with our wingbacks, but with Pfumbidzai and Blessing Moyo in the team, we expect to come with a good result,” he said.

The team is expected to leave for Swaziland tomorrow.
