Five comedians, including veteran Carl Joshua Ncube, took to the stage and turned it into a rib cracking spree as they unleashed a series of hilarious jokes touching on all topics including politics.

Tinashe Mukono and Tatenda Mbudzi kick-started the show on the open mic session and did not disappoint as they left the place heated up making way for more experienced comedians.

The energetic Doc Vikela took over and proved why his name hardly slips when people talk about local stand-up comedy nowadays. He unbundled a host of new jokes with his active movements coming in handy to force a laugh even for the most serious person in the auditorium.

Simba the Comic King

National Arts Merit Award winner Simba the Comic King (real name Simbarashe Kakora) was no exception as he did not disappoint either but set the tone well for the final act of the night, Ncube.

When Ncube took to stage he was quick to admit that he is no longer the best as his critics outlined but ironically went on to prove that wrong with a stellar performance.

He managed to keep the crowd laughing their lungs out with a synchronised piece which involved music easily getting the crowd engaged in his 40 minute performance.

The comedian even defied odds as he got away with telling a religious joke in a similar manner that sparked mixed reactions in the crowd last time at an album launch of a local hip hop star.

The host of the show was its co-founder, an internationally acclaimed comedian Sam Monro popularly known as Cde Fatso who has made waves in and out of the country for his valiant hysterical jab at politicians through the popular Zambezi News show.
