HWANGE had Evans Rusike to thank for a last-minute equaliser as they remained winless in their seventh Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match against a battling Dongo Sawmills at the Colliery yesterday.

Dongo took the lead in the ninth minute through Lawrence Masibhera before Rusike made sure the first half ended 1-1 with a well taken equaliser in the second minute of first half added time.

Physwell Madhazi, who was later sent off for time-wasting, then scored five minutes from time to give Dongo what seemed to be the winning goal, before Rusike ensured a share of the spoils at the dearth.

Dongo coach, Shadreck Mugurasave, said he was happy with his boys’ performance, but blamed the referee for sending Madhazi off.

“I’m generally happy with my boys’ performance they played very well. However, the referee’s decision to send off Madhazi really cost me three points,” Mugurasave said.

Hwange coach Nation Dube had no kind words for Mugurasave’s boys, saying that they had come for a draw.
